One Should Never Die in the Back of a Toyota Camry And Other Important Lessons from the Island of Guam is a darkly comic supernatural thriller soaked in island folklore, WWII conspiracies, an inadvisable amount of generational trauma, and a Toyota Camry. More on the Camry later.
Walter San Nicolas is a washed-up pitchman, failed motivational speaker, and by any reasonable metric, an all-around piece of shit. He also sees things. When he returns home to Guam for his brother’s funeral, he stumbles into a decades-old mystery involving a pair of skulls, some missing loot, a semi-famous Japanese straggler, and an existential hitman named Tusso. Then things get weird.
American Gods meets Rivers of London on the island where America’s day begins.

About
About FA&CO
Fairly Adequate & Co. is an independent publishing and creative imprint focused on strange worlds, darkly funny fiction, and other projects that tend to spiral well beyond their original specifications and budget. These pages will eventually fill up with novels, graphic novels, special runs, peculiar little side projects, artwork, and other suspiciously elaborate undertakings normally released by publishers with Ivy League project managers and social media coordinators who know what “engagement strategy” actually means. For the time being, however, we’re pretty excited about this font.
It was founded by Ryan Gerber, who also wrote the only book we happen to be promoting at the moment.
This is entirely by coincidence.
